The Progressive Liberal Party tonight launched its 2026 platform, Blueprint for Progress, along with the Blueprint Tracker, a first-of-its-kind public tool that provides Bahamians with a view of the government’s progress in delivering previous policy commitments.
At a national event led by Party Leader and Prime Minister Philip Brave Davis and a united slate of PLP candidates, the Party set out its plan for the country’s next phase by building on the progress of the past five years and expanding opportunity for Bahamians.
“Tonight we map out the future,” Prime Minister Davis said. “It is about the kind of country we can build together.”
The Blueprint for Progress outlines a comprehensive agenda to grow a more inclusive economy, strengthen healthcare and education, support workers and entrepreneurs, expand access to affordable housing, advance energy reform, improve public safety, and deepen investment in the Family Islands.
“Tonight this team intends to keep building,” Davis said. “We intend to keep opening doors. We intend to keep pushing this country forward.”
A central feature of the launch was the unveiling of the Blueprint Tracker, a digital platform that allows Bahamians to monitor the Government’s performance against its commitments under the 2021 Blueprint for Change.
“To the Bahamian people, we say: judge us for yourselves,” Davis said. “When you ask for trust, you must also be prepared to show your work.”
To date, 325 commitments have been completed or are in progress, marking the first time a Bahamian administration has publicly tracked and reported on its promises.
The Tracker provides commitment-level detail, pairing each initiative with its status and supporting evidence. Highlights include the expansion of free public Wi-Fi to 98 parks, the opening of four BTVI campuses and a $1.6 million renovation in Grand Bahama, and more than 400 young Bahamians who have been trained as members of the National Youth Guard to assist the country in times of emergency.
It also captures affordable housing, small business support, digital learning platforms such as Upskill Bahamas (in which more than 12,000 Bahamians have enrolled), the opening of the Creative and Performing Arts School of The Bahamas, VAT reductions, and major infrastructure and energy projects.

“You have seen tonight that this administration knows how to deliver,” Davis said. “We are proud to run on our record, lifting the country out of crisis and putting The Bahamas on a path of growth.”
The PLP emphasized that the election presents Bahamians with a clear choice about the country’s direction, asking Bahamians whether the country should continue to move forward or should turn back.
“On May 12th, the choice is clear,” Davis said. “Choose opportunity. Choose growth. Choose a better future. Choose progress.”
